craziness

i haven’t been on the blog lately. busy-ness has sucked me into its all-encompassing vacuum, but has also generously released me for a quick, fresh breath of bloggy air before, i assume, i’ll be sucked back in . . .

montana was beautiful. wonderful, as always. it’s crazy how much i love that place. besides obvious reasons like family, there are SO many other reasons i adore it. it’s crazy. really, crazy.

it snowed almost everyday we were there, that warm springy snow that sends you out with no jacket and stating aloud just how beautiful the day really is. days where the snow falls in fluffy white flakes that make perfect snowballs with the promise they will melt sooner rather than later.

{honestly, who woudn’t want to wake up to these mountains greeting you each and every morning?!}

that’s one of the things i love most about montana. its surprises. the weather is unpredictable and 80% of the time the weather forecaster is slightly off, if not completely wrong, about what mother nature has in store for big sky country. and i do like a good dose of unpredictable surprises every now and then! there’s nothing i love more than days like these (below), where it’s like God dipped his hand into his palette of weather, just couldn’t decide on what to create, and thought, “what the heck, let’s use them all!”

snow + clouds + blue sky = heaven . . .

{gorgeous . . . is it not?}

craziness.

the remainder of our trip was filled with family, and play dates, coffee shopp-ing, and eating at favorite local restaurants (because we all know that when you’re on vacation, that’s just what you do . . . you eat, and this mama is FULL!)

i love these next two images of sunshine and my dad. what do they say to you? to me they say love and adoration . . . from both parties. they are crazy for each other.

today we celebrated sunshine’s 2nd birthday. which is pure craziness! i know every mama says that exact same thing each and every year when their baby turns one year older, but that’s because it’s true. it’s crazy. this life. how fast it flies. it feels like i was just gifted with this little bundle . . .

and now, i’m chasing after this ray of sunshine . . .

craziness.

and because it’s fun to try new and crazy things, and i’m still exploring the full potential of the new blog . . . i’m sharing a little slide show of the rest of our trip and of sunshine’s special day.

some things you might be seeing:

  • silly boys’ after-bath bedtime party
  • our trip to the museum of the rockies for the frog exhibit and some fishing
  • getting our daily coffee at one of our favorite coffee shops in bozeman: the daily coffee bar. they have a loft that looks out over the bridger mountains. there is no better way to have your coffee than looking at those mountains and drinking it with these boys! *ps . . . that IS decaf in turbojet’s cup . . . in case any of you were thinking that i may be off my rocker, after all!*
  • sunshine’s birthday . . . playing with his new train table, checking out his new fish ‘Linus’ **side note: sheer genius on our part in deciding to let turbojet name the fish. when he chose Linus, i nearly jumped for joy. an out for us! for anyone that has talked baby at our house knows that the baby’s name (according to turbojet) was to be Linus. period. i have clarified with turbojet numerous times now that since we have a fish Linus, we can no longer name the baby Linus. case closed. period. YES!**

    enjoy the show! remember, even craziness can be a good thing! . . .

    Your Mama - Stac, great pictures and I can honestly say that Bozeman, MT only gets better when you guys get to town! Love you and miss you
