did anyone else just get slapped up along side the head by thursday, only to realize that turkey day is exactly one. week. away? ’cause i did! i swear the weeks are just slipping through my fingers like…like…like, sand through an hour glass {ha, ha, ha i’m not even a soap girl} for reals though, it’s a slippin’ and it’s a slippin’ fast!

i was thrown into a brief moment of panic when i came to grips with reality realized that thanksgiving was so close. for those of you who don’t follow me on facebook, this is my first year ever, of all times, that i am cooking a turkey {insert, gasps, yikes’ and whatever else you’d like to throw in there in complete horror} a few of you have thrown me a bone and shared some favorite recipes and tips and for that, i will be forever grateful…as i’m sure the brave guests at my table will be as well! i’m still taking ideas for cooking/sides/desserts or otherwise if there’s any last minute sharers who want to get in on the fun! 🙂

i discovered a new iphone app called ShakeItPhoto. it takes your image just like an old polaroid camera, with sound effects and everything {boom baby! love me some sound effects!} and the best part? you get to *shake it like a polaroid pitcha* {picture me shakin’ my groove thang as i sing that} 🙂 for only $1.99 it’s worth the fun…

…it doesn’t quite replace my undying love for instagram though!

and now the weekend, where i’ll try to hunker down, get my poop in a group and get some things accomplished before the wild, week of thanksgiving that will bring my snister {SO. EXCITED.} and food and friends and birthday fun! woot!
