daily dose * tap-tap-tap

*tap-tap-tap* is this thing on? hellooooooo? anyone home? hiya! i’ve written and re-written this blog 3 times now. not because i didn’t like it, but because i’ve sat down on 3 separate occasions to tap it out, got distracted {shock…*squirrel!*} came back to it in a totally different mood and started alllllll over again. let’s hope, for everyone’s sake, 3rd time’s the charm!

besides, i really shouldn’t be here. the house is a mess in a we-just-moved-with-three-kids kind of a way. a way that forces maintaining, but maintaining what? stacks of boxes? helter-skelterness?

*boys, put your toys awa-…um, away. put them over there i guess…in the corner. perfect.*

yeaaaah, that kind of a way. it’s now, when they sleep that i should be getting my bootie a movin’, boxes a movin’, junque a movin’ getting it all settled in, each to it’s respective *spot* but it feels more pleasant, more enjoyable to sit here and revel in the past couple weeks of craziness and dabble in the waters of semi-normalness.

let’s dabble.

where to begin? the chaos and craziness of the move has subsided a bit, the kiddos are settled, my emotions have died down, and i’ve become hell-bent on transforming this new house into our home {though, lover may disagree…my hell-bentedness is a bit slow moving, as anything is with the 3-ring circus in tow!} it’s a slow process, but a progressive one…we paint the main living space tomorrow…wheeeeeeee! ugly brown and white walls enjoy your last night suckers!

bahahahahahaha…daily dose!

i may or may not have excessively photographed my kids playing/living/being in our *last week* home before moving. capturing them bit by bit.

on our bed,

{enjoying that ridiculous flare off my wedding pic arent’ you? bahaha!}

in the bath,

in the sandbox,

watching a show,

in the kitchen,

etc. etc. etc. x9000 i’ll spare you all 8,992 other images 🙂

the move went relatively smoothly, as moves go. with only a few damaged goods and a few flying panties down the road {true story}, and as always, i’m overwhelmed with the generosity and support of our friends. thank you to all of you who took your ENTIRE saturday to move our homestead across town! …i think they had fun 🙂

side note : nothing says, *we have too much crap* like moving can 🙂

Jackie - <3

Emily - loved reading this blog! and very much loved the pics of those three adorable kiddos! I can FEEL happiness beaming through the computer screen when I look at those pics. Glad the move went well 🙂

Lanae Brown - Seriously Stacey, you have the most adorable family! What an adventure it is moving. When we moved over a year ago it was so rushed I never had time to mourn our old house. We rented it out so when I went back this past summer to do some cleaning after renters moved out, that’s when I lost it. All the memories came back and I bawled while scrubbing the bathtubs! So I understand all your emotions, but how exciting to have a new place! And don’t worry, it will take you a good year to get settled, so no rush, we all prefer the blog posts! Have a great week!

Tricia - Love, Love, Love the last photo of the three kiddos on the bed, circa old house. What a superb, happy photo! Good luck settling into the new home! 🙂
