a secret, gratitude & 7 different words

i spent my morning cleaning up puke out of the car. yup. be jealous {like that’s never happened to any of you right? haha.} nothing like starting off your monday morning like that, can i get an amen? sunshine upchucked in the drop off line while we waited to drop turbo off at school, and being as turbo has the weakest stomach this side of the mississippi, he nearly spilled his cookies as well.

*MOMMY!!! sunshine THREW! UP!!! oooooooooooh, he threw up {gag} i think I’M going to throw up {gag, gag}*

well for the love of all things good and holy, get to the front of the van and open the window! ay yei yei. i kid you not, he will be the boy that passes out and/or barfs in freshman biology class. bet on it.

nobody likes it when their kids are sick, so it’s redonk of me to say : i don’t like when my kids are sick. buuuuut, i don’t. perhaps worse though? sometimes i secretly like when they’re sick {secretly. soooo, you don’t know that}. in a nice way. it’s like a free ticket to lay low. to expect cuddles and napping and extra movie watching {major bonus for my kids because i’m kind of a major TV nazi.} it’s kind of nice…once you erase the part about how they’re vomiting and extra needy and you smell like you’ve been hurled on…because you have.

and when my kids get the flu like this, i can’t help but feel so very, very grateful. that sounds weird right? but honestly, i’m always so, so thankful to know that the flu will be gone in a day or two knowing that there are parent’s out there dealing with so much more {bless their hearts} sicknesses that perhaps can’t be healed, diseases that won’t go away. so flu? welcome! make yourself at home. i’m pretty darn grateful you’re here and something else isn’t.

and for anyone whose counting? that’s 7 different words for the word vomit. and i could go on. major dork out.

patti - Ah.. hopefully you don’t get it!! Take care, hugs & kisses for poor little emmitt.. he looks so sad in the picture…

Your Mama - AMEN!! Kisses and Hugs to little Sunshine and virtual kisses and hugs to all who are dealing with more than the flu!
