for those of you who have brains like yours truly…

* NEWS FLASH *

halloween is creeping up on you.

true story. it’s creeping up on you, and it’s about to scare the pants off you. you don’t want that. you really don’t. BESIDES that it’s extremely unflattering…

…you don’t have costumes done. heck, you don’t even know how to go about making the costumes.

{ninja turtles…anyone with brilliant/inexpensive ways to make a shell leave me a comment. please. PLEASE. don’t make me beg.}

and you don’t know what sweet pea is even going to BE for halloween…much less how to make it.

{taking sweet pea costume suggestions below as well. must fit similar criteria : cute, simple and cheap}

so my fellow unorganized, frazzled, not type-A readers, let’s get on the wagon and knock these out so we’re not panicked, staying up until all hours of the night the night before halloween trying to get them done. m’kay?…or is that just me?

Justine - For the turtle shell, my husband used a trash can lid for *HIS* (yes, his, ha!) TMNT costume a couple years ago.

A little more involved and more money, a coworker also recently made a turtle (non-ninja) shell for her son using a large foam half sphere and a wire wreath form to go around it, then covered it all with fabric.

Kathryn - For my 2 year old, I found a sweet Peter Pan costume on Pinterest that is just felt and a bit of sewing! Then I decided that my 7 month old will be a dragon, but use a hooded sweatshirt and sew the spikes on the hood and down the back and add a tail. I pinned them both, so find me on Pinterest @kvigness!

Hope that helps!

patti - Way to be organized stac!! Man, you still have 11 days,, you will be fine! Wish i could help you, but i am costume retarded… love you,

patti
