the circus was blessed to see all 3 of their great grama’s this summer, which was quite a feat seeing how as they live anywhere from montana to washington to california. i’m grateful for the relationships they begin to establish with them. for the hugs they share, and the chatter that i’ve gotten to hear. the connection woven between is incredible if you think about it, and i’m grateful that the span of 70 years in age is pulled tightly together by the strong cord we call, family.

notice the color of my grama’s house below, it’s been that color as long as i’ve lived. i’ve always been so proud of that color. how it sticks out like a sore thumb in the middle of her small montana town. making a statement, and not caring what anyone else thinks.

just like my grama. who’s equally as comfortable in the kitchen as she is out tearing up a carburetor to get her lawn mower running. equally as handy at crocheting as she is gutting a fish. she’s independent, strong and motivated. all things i wish i was more of.

i’m so bummed i didn’t get all three kids with chad’s grama. but i did catch 2 of them with her, she’s the sweetest little thing!

this picture was by request from chad’s other grama. she picked up the flags and the shirts, so she could get a picture of all her great grandchildren. i didn’t get a single one where they’re all looking. sorry grama!

i know bits of chad’s grama’s stories, but wouldn’t it be fun to have an entire afternoon hearing about their past? oh! the stories. i love hearing how different the world was even 50 years ago, but i love even more that my kids can still hear those same stories first hand.

straight from their great grama’s mouth.

Your Mama - I love this post! I remember growing up and spending parts of my summer with my Grama and her two sister on a little ranch out of Helena. Although I didn’t ever know my great grandma’s, having my Grama, Great Aunt Julia and Great Aunt Kathryn as a part of my life was a lasting memory. These three little guys are sooo lucky to have three great grandma’s and to know them all!! I agree with Patti, these three special ladies need a copy of this!

Patti - Cute! I think you should print this and send it off too them,, they would feel famous!
