totin’ larry & hangin’ with the fam

this past weekend, we were in charge of making sure turbo’s class lion, larry, had an awesome time with us. coincidentally, my family also flew into town…so totin’ larry and a hangin’ out we go. high ho. high ho. high ho.

larry got to sleep in the teepee, fully equipped with twinkly lights {AKA Christmas lights. i have a small addiction to white Christmas lights. there. i said it.} the lucky dog. er. lion.

and i am WAY too easily amused {let’s just get that out of the way right now}, but i can TOTALLY hear sweet pea taking after larry and saying, *i am a lion cub. hear. me. ROAR!!* baha!

{RAWRRRR!}

larry got his lion-butt kicked at sequence. to make him feel better, turbo took him on a bike ride. ain’t nothin’ like gettin’ shoved inside a backpack to make you feel better about losing to a 6 year old. just sayin’…

i’m pretty sure larry thought he died and went to heaven when we took him to in-n-out for lunch.

{he did NOT want to share his tea OR his hat. larry needs lessons on sharing. geesh. they hugged it out. don’t worry, there’s no hard feelings.}

after his burger and fries, larry needed a nap, so we took the opportunity to play outside. sweet pea was enthralled with tia’s bracelets.

i’m not sure when he got so big, but it’s officially happened. wah 🙁

let’s make up for the bigness by making goofy faces in the reflection of the truck bumper. yeah. nobody says no to that, no matter how big you are! 🙂

after his nap, we took larry to the park. he was a bit perturbed that sweet pea was a much more agile climber than himself.

playing at the playground, climbing the playground, playing at the park

so, he settled for the slide.

larry went back to the classroom today, but luckily, my family is still in town for a few more days! and you can bet your sweet bippy you’ll be seeing more of them on the blog this week. we’ve gotta soak ’em up while we can!

peace out cool cats!
