* have you always been creative? * I think it is in the my family genes! My mom used to save the cardboard from her new panty hose so I could color on it. That is an early 1st memory of creativity! My sister was sewing at an early age, so I just caught on. Both my grandma’s and mom where quilters.
* where do you get your ideas? * A lot of my ideas come from blogs like yours! Pinterest has been very inspiring also.
* what is one of your favorite things you’ve ever sewn? * I think I am hard on myself when it comes to this. I just enjoy colored fabric, patterns, and then designing to pull it all together…so I guess the process more than anything! Whatever I am working on is my favorite thing at the time…
* you have critters, owls, pillows and dishtowels in your shop, but what else do you like to sew? * I love when I get custom orders…they get me out of my box! The item might not be something I would make just on my own. It makes me be more creative rather than sewing the same thing over and over again. I’ve also made custom baby bumpers, burp clothes, baby blankets, quilts, and more. I do love making the owls and critters you see in my shop though. When I get on a roll and they’re all piled up in my sewing room, it feels like i’m being stared at. It’s hilarious to me, ha! 🙂
* what inspires you? * My grandkids inspire me! They love whatever I make for them, whether it’s dorky or beautiful! Different holidays also give me a chance to explore, different colors, textures, and new ideas for that season.
